Taiwan’s deal with Eurocopter

Taiwan is to buy three Eurocopter EC225 Super Puma search-and-rescue helicopters.
February 5: The Guardian reports that Taiwan is to buy three Eurocopter EC225 Super Puma search-and-rescue helicopters in a $111 million deal, with an option for up to 17 more.
It is the country’s first deal with Eurocopter, and is for civilian-specification aircraft and follows an announcement from US President Barack Obama of a $6.4 billion arms package with Taiwan, which includes Patriot missiles, naval minesweepers and Black Hawk helicopters.
